I don't think his shot stopping has ever really been the problem.Shot stopping wise, Howard has been tremendous like.

could be still on their way there, we didnt get in til half time, feckin traffic6,000 plus missing at the Emptihad.
I think we will be parking the bus again in two weeks after holding them out today.Overall, a very good display. Hopefully we can repeat, or better it in a fortnight.
Not been home long and can't be arsed getting up to speed with what's been said, so I'm probably going to repeat what everyone else has said. NEA
Can't defend to save our lives all season, then go and keep a clean sheet at arguably the most difficult ground in the country, proper Everton that!
- Not much in it first half, arguably we had the better chances
- Tremendous backs to the wall display in the second half. We rode our luck a bit, but earned that luck really
- Howard had a good game
- Ossie nearly scored a worldie, but this is increasingly looking like his last meaningful season
- Stones isn't a right back, but we knew that
- Pienaar was a good sub to make
- Kone wasn't ( but this about the only thing that Martinez got wrong )
- Jags experience was crucial
- Besic was ace, particularly in the first half
- Traffic was awful
Overall, a very good display. Hopefully we can repeat, or better it in a fortnight.
And yet in the previous City gameSomeone wrote on here we need Barry because we have a young team, erm Howard, Baines, Jagielka, Pienaar, Barry and Kone finished the game, has Moyes wangled himself a job at Finch Farm
Yes we are playing some good football, if you want to be really successful you've got to plat it for more than forty fiveWe are better than our league position imo (potentially that is, because the table doesn't lie). I think somewhere around 6th is the very best we can expect this season looking at the fixture list, but if we get anywhere near that position i would see it as a worthwhile improvement on last season, especially given the way the squad has gelled together and the quality of football we are playing. I reckon that we are only two or three players away from being a match for anyone, and one of those needs to be a striker imo to support Lukaku (i'll be really disappointed to lose Naismith unless we replace him with quality). This may be Tim's last season as No. 1, and whether Joel is a competent replacement is still an unknown factor, but i wouldn't write him off on the strength of what i've seen.
Guardian MBM was pretty accurate mate if still interested. Will someone write a first half report please.
Left Southport at 5 and got to the ground just as the 2nd half kicked off!!!
PS just got home so can't be bothered what's already been written.
