Things aren't going amazingly in the league right now, but Coleman as a proper winger would be a massive shakeup. I can see it happening, but Hibbert at RCB seems more plausible / less drastic.

We've been moaning that Coleman and Baines have been constrained by having makeshift wingers in front, so giving them the extra cover of 3 at the back, and space in front makes sense. Best explanation of the forward line I've seen is Mirallas behind Eto'o and Lukaku, which would at least change (if not solve) our lopsided strike force.

Not many are making excuses for Barkley. We are pretty much all in agreement that he has been awful since his return.

Form is just temporary though.
I worry about the 5 professional managers (who will have forgot more than anyone on here will ever know about football) 4 of which clearly don't/didn't fancy him and Martinez would call the opening of a Mars bar Phenomenal

The only way I can see us winning this is if we blow them away and win 2 or 3 nil with a high tempo and score a couple early, because if both sides score and it's a free flowing game, they'll score four for every two we do.

Just can't see a win, but the Premier League is a weird beast so you never know.

Stranger things have happened, mate :)

The thing is a point is suddenly almost the same as a win now.

Arsenal, Spurs and the RS all dropped points when we expected them to do better.

I had thought a point would have seen us fall further behind.....but not so.

What a annoying time to play Man City, all our "rivals" being utter drivel today and we just happened to playing the champions away. Typical!

Not much stranger to be honest. Given our dire form and City's attack/motivation to win, an Everton win tonight would be like when Inverness beat Celtic. Newcastle beating Chelsea today couldn't have been a worse result for us.

Problem with Coleman as a winger is that he got found out early doors.

He's good at running into the space left by a winger, not playing as a full blown winger.

And as its been mentioned. McGeady and Atsu not getting a sniff because they're not as good as Coleman doing their job lol.

I'd take a point any day of the week against these away, regardless of the other results.
