Problem with Coleman as a winger is that he got found out early doors.

He's good at running into the space left by a winger, not playing as a full blown winger.

And as its been mentioned. McGeady and Atsu not getting a sniff because they're not as good as Coleman doing their job lol.

The only reason he'd be played right wing is to basically have two full backs defending.

The thing is a point is suddenly almost the same as a win now.

Arsenal, Spurs and the RS all dropped points when we expected them to do better.

I had thought a point would have seen us fall further behind.....but not so.

COYB

Point at the ethiad is always as good as a win

least we got this guy :

I suppose Coleman at right mid could work if we're playing a countering game, come to think of it. And Hibbert's been defending well at right back, so I'm certainly not against having him in there.

Barkley taking a well-deserved seat on the bench here. Not a bad team from Martinez, by the looks of it.

It'll be 3 at the back then. But 5 at the back for the most part.

It'll be a back seven whenever we're not in possession. Barry will drop just in front of Jagielka/Distin, both wingers will drop deep to a traditional full back role, full backs will cut inside, Jagielka/Distin or Barry will man-mark their strikers and pick up the midfield runners.

We're parking the bus basically.

Think its more of a case of his defensive dutys that he starts there

Coleman has been playing quite tentatively and hasn't been bombing on. Maybe concentrating on the defensive side too much. If he plays right mid he hasn't got the same defensive duties, but would expect Hibbert to move in and Coleman to get back. But as soon as we get the ball can get out quick. Well done Martinez something different.
