Really poor team this. If you want to play on the counter against City then you need energy and pace. So from the woeful team the other night he's kept 33 year old Barry (3rd game in a week) 37 year old Distin (4th game in a week and a half) and Howard (who just needed dropping). He's then brought in Hibbert and Etoo, two players with neither pace nor energy. Now I'm sure Hibbert will do a good job but I don't understand what Etoo is going to do unless its to nick a goal. Naismith and McCarthy would have been perfect for this game but in their absence I don't see why Browning, McGeady or even Pienaar aren't getting a run out. We will get ran though in midfield. Just thank god Silva isn't playing and hope Aguero has the wrong boots on.
lollollollolHibbert is going to man-mark Aguero so effectively that City will pay a billion pounds to buy him and ensure it never happens again. Kenwrong will rebuild Goodison with the proceeds, and use whats left over to develop a reliable launch vehicle with which to move Anfield to the moon.
It'd never have happened last season. We'd have gone toe to toe.Indeed. Strangely though, surely it means he's planning on a direct counter attacking game long to Lukaku & Eto'o. Which is strange for obvious Martinez-related reasons.
Exactly. We've all been worried (or for some complaining) about lacklustre performances as of late. No Plan A.... We've been worked out.... etc. Also, Martinez knows things aren't going well so he's trying something a bit different. Cool your jets.

Got a pepperoni pizza, some Brahma and some chocolate for tonight. Oh and The Inbetweeners Movie 2 to watch later. It's pizza night for me. Spicy pepperoni with chorizo added and not a pineapple chunk in sight. Yum!![]()
