Any chance the knee-jerking Fantasy Football Managers on here could tell us categorically if this team is a good selection or not?
I will make it so much easier to spot the hypocrites after the game when when get humped/win.

It's neither a good or bad selection as anything he did tonight had a very high likelihood in us getting shafted left, right and centre.

So we'll see.

I think there has been too much hype around Barkley. He has yet to consistently demonstrate that he can deliver the goods. At his age, hate to say this but Gerrard was having a far greater impact for our neighbours.

gerrard didn't have a double leg break to slow his development by well over a year though.

thats a complete guess, i've no idea if gerrard had a bad injury at a critical stage of development.

In all seriousness though, Mirallas, Lukaku ad Eto'o are our 3 best attacking players and maybe we have to sacrifice another creative player to let them have a bit more freedom, especially away from home against the reigning champions.

Martinez knows things aren't right and is trying different things to fix it.

Really poor team this. If you want to play on the counter against City then you need energy and pace. So from the woeful team the other night he's kept 33 year old Barry (3rd game in a week) 37 year old Distin (4th game in a week and a half) and Howard (who just needed dropping). He's then brought in Hibbert and Etoo, two players with neither pace nor energy. Now I'm sure Hibbert will do a good job but I don't understand what Etoo is going to do unless its to nick a goal. Naismith and McCarthy would have been perfect for this game but in their absence I don't see why Browning, McGeady or even Pienaar aren't getting a run out. We will get ran though in midfield. Just thank god Silva isn't playing and hope Aguero has the wrong boots on.
