It's a shame that it's taken another man to realise the potential of the squad Moyes built. Would he ever have brought Oviedo in for these games? Not a chance. He'd have shifted Distin over and stuck Heitinga at the back. Caution triumphed over self-belief.

The jump up in quality all over the pitch, especially in that area the last 3 games in particular has been massive, we are the mutts nuts.
