...Sin Miedo. Every player and punter interviewed is mentioning Everton's new found lack of fear and belief in going to places like OT with a view to winning. Each of these comments is a dig at Moyes and must be adding to the pressure on him. I thought the last team he'd be wanting to face was us and that fear was evident in his team. His hair is turning from ginger to grey, the anxiety is showing and I suspect the United fans are restless. Great that we've already broken the 25 points by Xmas benchmark as that is a real platform for reaching a European place.

A poster on redcafe thinks 'a couple of modest investments for less than 20 million would have helped.'

Another thinks Martinez will be their manager next season.

Don't know if we'll win anything but this IS the best football I've seen since our glory days.

It's higher level tactics, imo. Not claiming I know how it works, but then think opposing sides find it very unsettling. We morph in different attacks going forwards, then morph again in defence, ready to counter. And I love it. Confidence to set up home around their box at times, probing for the right opening. Our players offering options all the time.

And Martinez just looking for more final option ball ruthlessness i think, to finish off more of those rapier attacks and all the chances we create.

Hope McCarthy recovers quick from those studs down his legs. Such an engine on him, keeps things ticking over so sweetly.

Well in Blue. Superb performance and result. Palace fans everywhere giving it the Nelson Muntz treatment this morning; HA HA! Great result, well done!

I think by the end of the season mate youll be the resident barca blue and have a soft spot for us for the rest of your days :)

Allez allez alez OOOOooooo

 Well, suffice it to say, I'm always drawn to attractive footy and even more so when there are Catalans involved...A friend of mine back in SF dated an English guy for a while, he was a Toffee fan but we never got the chance to chat much about footy...At that time, all I knew about them was Arteta

I've always enjoyed Martinez, in particular...I don't always enjoy his pragmatic tactics but there's no denying the quality there as evidenced by his night/day turnaround of Everton

Feel guilty for not mentioning Jagielka earlier as it's true, he too was key in the victory...Made up for a less than perfect performance from Distin, Phil was immense

A few observations and comments:

1) First. I called into a nationwide football talk show today here in the USA called The Football Show. It's hosted by ex Newcastle player Ray Hudson and Chelsea correspondent Neil Barnett on Sirius/XM FC ch 94. They were taking calls before Ray would make his predictions for the night's matches so I called in and got through. I told Ray, "You don't have to make your prediction because I'll make it for you. ManU 2-1 Everton." He said "Yeah Bill from Texas, you're probably right." He ended up going with that very prediction. Ray's predictable that way.

I replied, "Well I think Everton are going to win and one player you need to watch out for today is BRYAN OVIEDO." Holy crap !!! I couldn't have called it any better than that.

I Tweeted Ray later on today and said something to the effect of "What did you think of that? Oviedo Baby !!!" He responded, "Magic Bill." Fair play to him.

I like Ray, not surprised by his response on twitter - he's engaging that way...He has his favorites of course but he loves good footy too

Revel in the victory, meant to be savored...Gunners will be a different kettle of fish
