Match Thread Man Utd V Everton. Sun 3 Aug - 22:00 BST

Just saw the sly little kick to the Achilles from the Rodent Fernandez on N'diaye as N'diaye waltzed last him, slimy vindictive little Rat who deserves a good kicking.

Brushed under the carpet aswell. Pre season friendly and he's tried to injure a fellow pro before the seasons kicked off. What made it ten times worse is his tedious arm out im innocent gesture to the ref and everyone else.
Such an unlikeable player. So punchable.

The ref apologised to the Everton players after the match and admit he got it wrong.
I can see where the ref in real time can think that when a player puts his arm across a player, and the player goes down that easy, that the defender has had a shirt pull or a push on the attacker. If only there was VAR, but then the ref might not be shown the incident from the right angle. Suppose it shows the officials have a near impossible task in real time reading whats right and wrong.

and we'd hear the 'justification' of 'there was contact so he was entitled to go down, thats a penalty for me', when its the Sly6, anyone else and it would be 'not enough contact for me, he went down too easily'

the game is bent

It was there long before that. The question we need to ask ourselves is: why were we not in a position to do likewise? Why did we not have the same options as the six?

We were part of the big 5. Now, we'd be battling to make the top 10. Utter decline.

Spot on.

When the Sky gravy train pulled out of Lime Street circa 1992 EFC could and should have been in the First Class carriage with the RS and Arsenal.

Instead we were left stood on the platform watching our elite “Big Five” status chug off in the direction of Manchester.

It is not being biased...those pundits are paid huge sums of money. The minimum I expect from them is impartiality. They were convinced it was a penalty, yet the referee apologised at the end of the game saying it wasn't. Barely any reaction when we scored a beautiful goal, and they can't contain themselves when manu scores, even from the penalty spot. It's so obvious, and they are also part of the problem with English football.
I went to bed after their first and flicked through the recording.

The snippets I watched were awful in terms of commentary - MUTV would have been more objective.

Overall a good way to finish an otherwise disappointing tour BUT if lessons have been learnt then reasonably worthwhile.

Always have. Always get the kids the all blue gear, mainly because they are little tramps and cover their clothes in all kinds of [Poor language removed].

They are now 11 and 14, still happening.
Nah. I still remember opening the white cardboard box containing my first round neck RBJ, white shorts and white socks, and my dear Ma ironed on a no. 8 for my hero.

About 55 years ago, but I remember it like this morning.

Agree in real time you can see why the ref gives it. But the playacting he should be wiser too
