I know you guys were in a bad form but didn't really think it was this amongst the fans

Admittedly I have only caught highlights of non united games due to uni exams but thought losses vs spurs and Chelsea isn't the worst thing in the world? You guys also held city to a draw and won vs stoke. Is it really that bad?

We are gutless. You are going to smash us our only hope is we get a performance if the score is under three we've done well currently. Rom is bound to score ffs

We are absolutely horrendous, cannot score and simply cannot defend. Can honestly see it being 5-0 to you but I really hope I am wrong.

I have no problem with players celebrating. If Rooney scored a winner tomorrow (I know, I know, I'll take my medicine after this post...) Then I would want him to celebrate. He plays for Everton now.

I hate and detest that practice.

Even a former player scores against us, just go and celebrate ya div.

Him not celebrating does not soften the blow of conceding a goal one iota

I'm not as worried about conceding 4 or 5 goals as I am about scoring any. It'll turn around eventually, but when?

I think this difficult start in terms of fixtures could be a blessing. Better to play these games while we're playing
badly anyway, if you see what I mean. I'm talking about the league, here.

We can still recover in the Europa.

My biggest worry is a damaging defeat could shatter the confidence completely and give the 'lesser' teams belief that we are there for the taking.

This. Get off to a good start to the season everyone thinks god this is a tough game would take a point. Bad start = these are garbage, players and fans of the opposition are more up for it and expect the three points. Longer it goes on the worse ot gets. Still think tomorrow will be bottom of th

I think any realistic Everton fan is expecting to get beat in this game.
A few will always believe that something will suddenly change and we can win.
They will continue to believe this until we are two down and then they get drunk.

What about the players though? What are they thinking?
'Get paid, win or lose'
Does Pickford think 'My old boots, I am going to be busy today'
Williams- 'I really fancy and egg and bacon sarny'
Baines and Jags - 'We're getting to old for this malarky'
Idris - 'I will do the best I can, but what about the others?'
Everybody else - 'I hope they don't pass to me'.

I mentioned in another thread, Rom will score more goals than Everton will have shots on or off target.
Gives me no satisfaction saying that, but I can see it happening.

Count me among that few, that foolish few, Conk ;)

God help me but you would think a man in his sixties would have learned more sense by now :(

But no matter how bleak things appear all week, once we get within about 24 hours of the kick off I start to feel owt is possible when my Blue Boys take the field

COYBB.....:celebrate:
