Managers to be sacked in the PL 2021/22

Because I don’t think he or Arsenal are very good

they hit incredible form at the end of last season and reached a european semi final

their form from matchday 19 was decent, they would have been 3rd in the league table with 37 points and a goal difference of 15. Only Chelsea - 41 and Man City - 48 had a better second half of the season.

in a short space of time he's won a fa cup final and reached a semi final in europe

he's trying to fix the defence problems with ben white

i think he's an astute fella and has learnt some tricks from pep and is slowly going to turn this arsenal side around

Tbf it's not do different to us atm. I know this time with Carlo, as with Moyes, the manager left and was not sacked but we eat up managers - noone lasts very long really since David Moyes left.

Including long term temporary managers like Unsworth the list is lengthy. I wouldn't be too ready to give other clubs grief, especially when you consider the likes of Chelsea win bagfuls of trophies, almost every year without fail, while changing managers by the minutes.
I did think about us when I wrote ‘revolving door’, but Watford do seem particularly trigger happy.

You could be right mate I just think he’s a sitting duck! They were dreadful for large parts of last season. I think this time next year or even before that Brendan Rodgers will be their next manager.

I suppose they have a business model of changing regularly, offering short term contracts with every new manager expecting a season (two at most).- It's almost as if it's done by design rather than results - their owner's or owners' policy is for him/them to be in charge changing coaches so no powerbase elsewhere. Chelsea have much the same business policy, hiring top coaches short term only.

We have no such policy but use a revolving door anyway as if changing the manager solves anything. I still look back on the Moyes years with good memories now, less disruption just for the sake of pleasing the loudest voices

Watford will go through 3 managers at least

Viera will be amazing or disaster

Hassenhutl might finally run out of cache

I can also see Bielsa walking for some bizarre reason

Almost like a poor man’s Real Madrid!

I hate this argument so much. He was their manager for the whole season, not half of it. He isn’t turning anything around.

Reaching the semi final of the Europa League isn’t an achievement.

Tbf Watford have been relatively successful given the size of the club. They've had top tier footbal on and off for the last few years and reached two FA cup finals. (One way back against us admittedly)

Everything is relative and for the size of club that's success
I remember when they first came up in ‘82 and did us over 2:0 first game of the season.

Brentfords manager if they start badly, they run a DOF model, so will be up for change if it's not going how they like
Aston Villa could be interesting, spent some money, if Grealish leaves and they aren't pushing top 4/6 I could see a lot of unrest

At the same time they've not panicked and fired this Frank guy after some narrow promotion misses. They might ride it out.

Yeah, think it depends what their target is, having reached the top flight they might have given a remit that it needs an X amount of points by a certain time, what I meant is they will have mo qualms about firing if it's not up to their aims, they run the club a bit differently to most others, it's more a coach job than manager
