I thought Hughes dropped the ball yesterday speaking about offereing tudgay a new contract "If he was 26 he would be a too good a player for this club", hardly the opening statement in attracting new players to a club!

I like Jewels attitude and honesty but too much of a Norwegian for me to warm to him.

He's class player, Fergie said he would love him at his club (aged 26).

I agree it's not a great thing to hear from your manager but it's just realistic. Blackburn just have trouble attracting anybody.

Half full stadium - I even knew someone that lived on Ewoods doorstep (literally) yet travelled for some distance each week to watch........


Oh yes - Bolton!

I've got to admit a grudging respect for Arsene Wenger, and Alex Ferguson if pushed, although they're both objectionable pissbags. I think Wenger's something of a genius but I'll never forgive Ferguson for insinuating that they deserved to win the '95 cup final.

Like O'Neill and also Sven! One thing I like about Sven is that the majority of times in interviews post match, he doesnt whine when anything goes against him such as the likes of Ferguson and Wenger.

Agree to a degree, being a poet, on Sven. I admire the way that he doesn't get into this Wengeresque way of blaming the world for any woe that befalls him or the team. Still, I'm not particularly keen on his employer, but that's football.

Excellent - an ally - I detest Coppell with every last breathe I have. Yes, he's done a great job at Reading up to this season (and to a lesser extent at Palace in the past) but unless you are under 25 or are suffering from a selective memory you may remember that this RED***** FAN was selected by the RED***** FA to adjudicate in the Mike Walker Poaching Enquiry - and, guess what, we were found guilty. Now I have some sympathy with the verdict but THE RED***** little tw*t ought to have made it quite clear that he can't adjudge this matter as he has a vested interest in finding us guilty. Sorry but that's my take on it.

As managers go you can't help but admire Wenger's achievements. Not so sure many of the rest of them are up to much - full of piss and wind (except for The Moyesiah of course).
