I have to say that we are lucky that city haven't scored. They looked the only side in it after some 28 odd minutes. Tim did well to earn the freekick and it was a well planned set piece and well done Tim.

Osman, I have said it before is better when playing against the lesser teams. He's playing wide and haven't got a sniff yet and I don't expect him to. If he plays central then he'll be dominated by De Jong due to his physical nature and Osman is physically not strong enough.

Pienaar has been phenomenal, with Distin, Arteta, Heit doing well.

No need to defend for the entire half, I hope it's not a deja vu from here.

Hows you mate, enjoying the game?

We are getting a bit of a spanking, in terms of possesion of the round thing, but we are winning and we look dangerous on the counter, would love to see us attack a bit more tho, we do look a bit shaky at times at the back and Tevez and Bellendamy are tricky players.

So yes overall, very happy.

Anyone catch Drogba's goal? A very absurd sequence including a blown call and a swing and a miss by the Portsmouth keeper.

Really happy so far!

But we need to press for another... If Moyes reverts back to his old 'hang on to what you got' tactics... Then I worry...

Yeah, we knew if was gonna happen. But Im guess he's there just to double up on their wingers.

Bily doesnt do that so its a decent tactical choice.

This is probably what Moyes had in mind at Sporting away: defend deep, plenty of effort, break when you can, exploit set pieces.

Pity Sporting were so good at keeping the ball and we froze on the night.
