Can understand 5 at the back if sterling, Aguero, sane, de Bruyne, David Silva are on the pitch

No idea why we did it with this weak City lineup
I don't really like switching the backline like that for a big game regardless of who is playing. The spacing and passing angles and all of that are totally different and you can see that they were unsure. If it works it looks brilliant but far too often you end up looking a bit lost at times.

But again let's not pretend like that was a weak lineup. That's one of the three best teams that will play this weekend.

They split our Cb's and provided pin point crosses. Class.

There's good forward play splitting defenders banno, it's not good forward play splitting defenders when those defenders are nowhere in sight. On Sterling's goal, there was no one within 10 yards of him, he could have brought the ball down, done 50 keepy uppys, and still scored before anyone got near him.

Ah well if we were hoping for our breakthrough away performance it’s not the worst thing in the world that it didn’t come at the home of the RS’s. nearest title challengers.

I think some of you need to learn some expectation management. We’re playing the champions who are backed by an actual state and have the best manager and arguably team in the world.

We meanwhile can’t beat teams such as Watford, Newcastle and Huddersfield at home and never do anything against the top 6. What did people expect?!

Expected to lose. Hoped to win or draw.

Are you new to Everton?

The hope and all that.

Why dont we play 4-4-2 more often. Looked good in the second half. By the way Lookman is much better on the left then on the right! Sigurdsson is totally out of form and needs some rest.

He did look very good and think he now should be getting more game time. Wouldn't be adverse to resting Rico also and bringing him on as sub for a few games.

Why play three lumps at the back? Why ask Siggi to do something he's not good at? Silva has got to take some of the blame
for a screwed-up formation.

EFC could have scored three or four and appear to be improving but the losses against the top six just continue to mount up.

Bernard appears to be busy but there is no impact and he and Richarlison as the starting wingers don't work.In fact our entire attack needs
to be updated/replaced. The only bright spots for me were Gomes, as usual, and Lookman who made things happen when he came on.

He got between Keane and Mina.....split
