Disagree mate, we need to create a winning culture and you can't do that by willfully losing games.

And the greater evil? It's football not a Tolkien novel.
If we lose any game there is something wrong. As for hoping we lose. ..christ. People need to focus upon us. The RS are not very important. They are doing well, so what? It could be any number of teams who are top. It needs to be us and nothing else matters..

The RS supporters only enjoy being above us because we make them matter..dont!

This will be a tougher test than Burnley and Newcastle. But City haven't been at their best this season and really you would have to be confident, that we can really rattle Citys cage, and hopefully claim the three points.

Just attack these, don't sit back, don't be timid, have a go.
Every team that has pressed them and got at their back 4 has had some success.
We should be going into this with confidence as high as it's been in many years.

this x1000

they can be gotten at

their back four is a mess

it’s a tall order to beat them at their place but no reason to sit in a low block and let them pick us apart, let’s have a go

I find the over optimism on here quite concerning. We’ve had a couple of decent results and now almost everyone thinks we are going to beat Man City away from home. I hope that you are all correct and that we do get the three points. . . . But calm down! Just because Ancelotti is here it doesn’t mean that we are automatically going to win every game. At this level of expectation a defeat and a draw and everyone will be wanting him sacked.

For me:

Pickford
Coleman Mina Holgate
Sidibe Sigurdsson Delph Digne
Kean DCL Richarlison
Bypass midfield and go direct against their defence while keeping shape at the back.
Agree, no tippy tappy rubbish against these. straight for the jugular and make them turn and defend for their lives.

I love it that in NZ 2nd January is also a holiday. Something to do with hangovers, I dont know. Either way it means I get a lie in and can watch the game "live" anytime I choose without work getting in the way.
Tough one to call. But ever so slightly optimistic.
2-1 to us.
