I know it requires people to stop jerking Pep for a minute and actually think to realize this but the Lewis in midfield thing (or any of the RBs) gets them into games like this pretty often where they're not actually doing much

He's not into midfield - Pep admitted to changing the full back tactics when he went to Germany to avoid the counter, he himself calls them inverted wing backs (as they don't swing outside but cut and stay outside).

Big brain move but risky if you don't have absolute dynamos as full backs.
