He's not into midfield - Pep admitted to changing the full back tactics when he went to Germany to avoid the counter, he himself calls them inverted wing backs (as they don't swing outside but cut and stay outside).

Big brain move but risky if you don't have absolute dynamos as full backs.

Yeah I get it, it's not even the risk that's the problem though. It's that the inverted wing back needs to be able to combine with the right wing and right center mid and just doesn't do it as well.

In a team that scores that many goals - a solid maybe, if Salah is on his bull***t to lay them on a platter.

If he was any decent at finishing currently he'd have about 10, but he's been very poor at anything other than running fast.

He's fast over the first couple of yards but doesn't have great speed over distance. Natural poacher who won't benefit from the long balls.
