….sometimes, just sometimes they get into a mindset where they try and walk the ball into the net and get bogged down. They do give you a chance on the counter attack.

It’d have to be one of those extraordinary games where we totally ride our luck and put away the few chances we get. Very unlikely.

Wasn't too long ago you were our bogey team especially at yours. And because of that i think about playing Everton with trepidation.

You're right about trying to walk the ball into the net, it's frustrates me no end. Last 2 seasons we've definitely slowed the pace of our attack down and we're nowhere near as fast and direct as Liverpool, seems like we're playing chess sometimes to outfox or opponents. I think Pep has slowed down our build up play to conserve energy for a long hard season, certainly worked last season.

We should beat you on Saturday but you never know. We have everyone back fit now which is a rarity so plenty of options players and tactics wise. Pep likes versatile players who can play an ever changing fluid system but sometimes he overthinks things hence getting beat 1-0 by Chelsea in 21 season of Champions League final.

I like Evertonians because you're similar to how we used to be when getting beat before the Sheikh and Thai takovers. Our hearts used to rule our heads when we had little chance of winning games and we endured 2 and a half decades of being proper bobbins.

If we win on Saturday then the only crumb of comfort you guys will get is seeing us top the league (albeit briefly) until Liverpool game is over.

After the game i hope you do well enough to survive relegation and build on what you have, especially when you go into your new stadium. Good luck.

We're gonna batter you 3-0 easy

I'll be parking off-street about a mile away in Openshaw, and walking to the ground. Will be walking past the Etihad training campus en-route. Does anyone know if this is open to walk through on matchdays? Would be nice for my kids to see how the other half live. @Maine road Man any idea? Cheers
Be careful where you park because Everton supporting Greater Manchester MP Andy Burnham sanctioned parking restrictions all around the Etihad, so streets that were free parking until this month are now double yellows. You should be ok in Openshaw though. The campus is strictly private so no chance of anyone walking through pal.

Nice one cheers, assumed that was the case. Yeah I've checked out the permit zones, probably park on South Street, just outside Zone E9

You're welcome.

The area around the Etihad is really poor for pubs especially away friendly pubs, my 2 favourites have closed within the last 2 seasons. However, quite a few away fans park up in Ashton and drink in the Wetherspons and old fire station pub. £4 return on tram from Ashton which is about 5 miles away from the ground.
