Manchester City's Sham Trial

I stand to be corrected, but weren't Leicester also supposed to be docked points if they got promoted this season?

Did they manage to swerve it, or did it somehow slip everyone's mind at the PL's H/O?

You must have missed the news....it was all over the press last week or so. They got off with it via a technicality.

Whatever's coming for City and its in an if - whether that will be meaningful or not - id be taking it with a smile on my face if i was them - they've built a behomath of a football club that will stretch long in to the future - the cheating was absolutely worth it.

If they get a 30 point deduction, they'll just shrug it of and be Utd for one season - then win the next 4 titles.

In fact that works for the PL, given Citys dominance s turning the league into a bit of a sham.

My money's on Master's being a spineless little fanny wobble and crapping the bed.

I think it'll be a fine. Even if it's a big amount, it'll still just be a slap on the wrist for them.

Masters and his corrupt cronies will poo the bed, and the city lawyers will destroy this case against them of bent, crappy rules that were designed by the previous 5 scabs to stop city and any other club from becoming what they have.

I can’t see them getting touched for points deductions or relegations etc, it’s all just hype and nonsense getting spouted by the red media to whip their armchairs up.

Can’t wait for the wailing and gnashing of rs teeth when rock all is done, maybe a poxy fine.

Plenty of teams and people to blame for this mess but city along with Chelsea have screwed everyone else.

Also take into account that the PL is a global brand, in which City play a big part.

Masters and his bum-boys will be taking into account how their decision will affect the bottom line.

And I hate to say it, but the reason why we got bent over a barrel last season, was because in addition to Masters trying to look like's a big boy by making an example of a club, Everton's effect on the PL global brand is minimal.

I expect one of two things to happen...

1. City get away with it, further angering our fans given the deductions we got.

2. City get severely punished and loads of their titles and trophies handed to the RS (and Man United and Arsenal - 2 of the other PL favourites)

It will be another loss for the Everton fanbase either way

Oh, really? Lucky buggers!

Was the technicality, 'We're not Everton'? That would have been good enough for that tithead Masters.

No, the technicality was that Leicester's relegation placed them outside of Premier League jurisdiction. I get that we love to feel hard done by, because we were clearly shafted, but speaking just for myself I think Leicester did everyone a service by showing just how poorly ran the whole league is.

Absolutely zero chance City get anything than a slap on the wrist by the way.
