Depends if youre positive or negative on the timeframes needed to build the squad i think...

I said 8th this season and next season is the one to judge so my expectations are quite in line with the table....the game today i can say that ive been slated a fair bit recently for saying the full backs need changing in summer and martinez hasnt got onto it yet + tried for yarmolenko where we have a huge hole.

I really am not ultra PRO MARTINEZ,im PRO EVERTON...just think he needs to make a lot of changes in summer and i will judge him on that and next season.

No harm for us really to see what happens....hes done well with transfers and has money now...lets see how he does.

Seems to me more like people who are watching games on their merits and commenting as they see it will get slaughtered as making excuses, unless they just repeat the same stuff you have.
The pundits and their manager both saying we deserved something. Nobody is saying we were massively unlucky or incredibly exciting but it was solid and there was determination.
United were panicking at the end.

8th...hahahahaha we will be lucky to get top half this season let alone 8th.

The, he needs to make a lot of changes is crap, he needs a defensive mindset change one he doesn't posses and is not likely to get.

No harm, this time next season we could be Aston Villa still no harm I suppose.
 
On my way back, thinking to myself why were we reactive, looked like we were set up to mark zonally even in open play.
Didn't think they were that much better, and came away thinking that the players themselves don't look like doing anything in the league that could end up in an injury thereby missing the cup match.
Bleach is beckoning.
 

Neither side were very good. We had the better chances to score.

We lost on pretty fine margins. Unfortunately, that's been the theme in the league for the best part of two seasons.

Pretty fair assessment. Not sure on the zonal marking specifically. It looked to me more of a basic "hold the halfway line then hold the box".

Lennon didnt seem to do much in the role he was asked to play which i think was to try and get Deulofeu into the same side and when it didnt work he pulled Deulofeu off for mirallas which i thought was very poor.

How was the general atmosphere during the game? Seemed quite a lacklustre performance BUT away at old trafford letting them have the ball and going for the counter was always going to be cagey.

I count 5 positions today alone which need new players.

We need new fullbacks, another striker, a real centre mid and an actual left winger.

Deffo need new players. On top of that, all our deadwood Osman, Gibson, Mirallas etc should be nowhere near the squad and need shipping out..

Absolutely, but it's still a little disappointing. We don't often spend on a player and thus you'd expect one of our more expensive signings to be ready to play some togger.

manager clueless 11 players in the wilderness.....and 1 ungrateful rsole of a belgian......nearly as ungrateful
as that south african hotentot that came crawling back from spurs....
 
It looked like we had no tactical plan today. Long ball up to anybody who was up there. Lukaku had two men on him the whole game and couldn't do everything on his own. It was plain to see after 60 minutes we had no alternative to change the game and try a different approach.

I also actually thought in the first half we played marginally better.
