The worst Manchester U team in 20 years meets what some says is the best Everton team in the same period.
They are fighting for 4th we are fighting for 12th.

How is that even possible?

Lennon didnt seem to do much in the role he was asked to play which i think was to try and get Deulofeu into the same side and when it didnt work he pulled Deulofeu off for mirallas which i thought was very poor.

How was the general atmosphere during the game? Seemed quite a lacklustre performance BUT away at old trafford letting them have the ball and going for the counter was always going to be cagey.

Subdued at best. Give us something to work with and we'll get behind them, but second best and no heart and you'll hear not a great deal.
 
It,s so telling what is going on that very soon the toxic fall out will be engulfing certain key seats of the main stand very soon indeed.

When i look at a starting eleven of pure quality which i would EXPECT people to be confident of beating anyone.....with a view of 12months+ term for them to be really performing....

McCarthy (perhaps with the right partner)
Barkley
Deulofeu
Lukaku

Are the only top tier players we have. Theres a gap from ages 21-23 (mccarthy 25) and then up to players above 30 (baines/jags/barry).

I wonder if we will go for the Mourinho approach and sign players coming into their prime or keep adding to the above group....

If we were sat in 6th ish now then i think Martinez would keep the long term planning and sign some exciting youngsters...but i fear he may go for vastly expensive individuals now due to some of fhe stick hes getting and go for short term results.

We have some amazing players for the long term and if i was in the squad and in that group id love to see some of my counterparts joining...i think thats still the way forward as we cant compete with Man City or those in the champions league.
 

Look on the bright side lads. We have reached 2 semi finals, are almost nailed on for the 12-13th placed trophy, could easily scoop the entertainers of the year prize when the TV awards come around and to top it all we are apparently top of the Fair play league or has that been renamed as the "gutless, inept and tactically naïve trophy"
 
Apparently Greg O Keefe is going in hard tonight on Bobby.

I cant see his twitter; what is he saying?! Hoping the local rag may have had a change of tact..
