are the players not as good as we think they are or is the manager the problem??? for me the players dont seem to be playing for the manager.

I think fans of every club overestimate their own players. I certainly don´t believe that our squad is as special as everyone seems to think. Lukaku is the only exceptional player we have, with Stones a massive prospect. The rest are good but no better than what clubs like West ham, Southampton or Stoke have.

Apparently our fans were extremely hostile during the silence and also destroyed and threw flags at the disabled fans? Wtf?

There was no silence mate.

We sang "Everton" while ManU did their stuff with Charlton. The flags were lightweight plastic and were just thrown at random as a "wtf are these" kind of thing, which probably wasn't a great thing to do but noone was throwing them at disabled fans, though some probably ended up in that area.

Incidentally, putting the flags in the away end wasn't that bright. Noone wanted one as a souvenir, why would we, so they were all over the place including the steps on the way out.

Just saw the goal. What on earth was he doing there? Rubbish attempt at a possible save.

Am over him, and all the Wigan dross this Manager has brought with him.

Four or five additions could make us look totally different, but I'm thinking along the lines that one managerial change could do the same.

What's easier to do, less expensive and arguably maybe just as effective?

Well, any new manager would need to make the same changes (if not more if he wants to build a different squad).

I keep thinking that if martinez had a top keeper all season + We had got Yarmolenko then things would be massively different. So theres 2 players already we would need + new full backs + a top notch centre midfielder....

Hes not made any changes to the defence yet and id like to see him totally gut the "old guard" and make some very harsh sales....then he will have his own squad and we can see what happens.

When hes spent money hes spent it well (lets see with niasse) so i dont see much risk in giving him funds and seeing how he does...

Worst thing that would happen is were mid table at xmas then we make a change.

I wasn't at the game so can't really comment on what happened but giving red flags to an Everton away end is simply brainless.

OK they were celebrating a club legend and good luck to them but we've had acres and acres of hero worship about United from the general media over the post Munich decades and enough already. Let them celebrate but expecting away fans to join in the self regard is a bit much.
