I missed the game unfortunately but the consistent feedback I am getting is that Coleman is still not back to his old high standard and Walcott needs benching.

I did see Pickfords pen save on tv later and, given how good he is at saving pens, I would have expected our defenders to have been first to any rebound. Maybe I am being a little harsh.

There seems to be definite signs of progress but always with one or two weak areas in any, otherwise strong, team we put out.

Clearly, more quality signings are required at right back and cf.

A touch harsh seeing as Pogba has a 20 foot head start, but I get what you mean.

I don’t usually moan about refs and that but I really want Martial to be punished for that.
He won't be though mate. It has to go through trial by Sky first and they've already shown their colours in the matter. They showed the one angle of the incident where it actually looks as though it could be a penalty, combined with Neville's comments about it being clumsy.

But Zaha is already being hung out to dry for his penalty (rightly so actually). It's the lack of consistency that does my head in. And since the new rule was brought in last year I'm sure there's still only Niasse form the Premier league been done.

Dermots on soon so see of it's brought up. Don't hold your breath.

Jon Moss obviously MOTM for ignoring Pogba's theatrics in an attempt to get Gomes carded, Martial's awful dive, Young's use of Lucas for a trampoline, Smalling's clear second yellow... I could go on but.. at least we had a go and we're getting better. Pickford/Gomes.. a few others did alright.

the one where matic jumped onto siggurdsson and piggy backed him for 5 seconds and still got away without a yellow because the fat mess forgot within 5 seconds.

the only solace from the loss i can take is i hope the thai cave boys had a great day out. Sometimes there's more to life than a football game and here's hoping it was one of the best experiences of their life.

Don't hate the player, hate the awful standard of officiating and lack of retrospective action from the governing bodies for allowing them to do it.

I'd say I want our players doing the same thing but we get done for it.
I hate him since he's always so good against us.

It annoys me BT.

People forget how utterly dogs we were last season and all of sudden after way less than 10 actual good games (you could argue we’ve been bad in more games than good this season too), and in less than 6 months of the new regime we should be aiming higher than Man United??

Jesus Christ. This is going to take years to sort out so we may actually compete again.

Does my head in.

as i said, for all the money we've spent, their two scorers cost approx £150m in transfer fees. They had taken our best player for £75m and he was on the bench. Compare that to our spending, our team is littered with players who cost around £20m-£30m. As much as i'd like to say we can compete with united and arsenal (and well, if you were to pick a combined XI we'd more than compete with both), but they both have a couple of really really expensive players who will always prove the difference over a season.

It's a good aim to finish above them, but fairly unrealistic given the trajectories of our premier league paths.

Call me an idiot or whatever but imo penalty rebounds should be scrapped

as soon as the penalty is saved the ball should be declared dead

two bites of the cherry is unfair especially when a penalty kick is awarded in the first place

all of our major problems yesterday came down our right side with coleman and Walcott

say what you want about Bernard but he ran his socks off and gave defensive support to digne and utd couldn't do anything down their right side, mata was ineffective, young never got beyond the byline

don't look at Bernard miss as the reason why we lost

I'd look at the failure of Walcott to do his defensive duties
