O yeah my mistake, yeah the free kick, however it was a clear free kick and a clear red but loads moaned about it, same against Palace, yeah it was a soft pen but it was still a pen.

Jagielka was never a red card in a million years.

Unless you're one of these modern football hipster types that think tackling should be banned. He played the ball that hard it went about 30 yards down field.

I assume you also think Ashley Young should have been sent off yesterday in that case?

Case in point, a clear red but your moaning saying it wasn't just because he wore an Everton shirt, no mention of what a stupid thing it was Jags did letting the ball roll past him like that in the first place, cause and effect, we need to control our own destiny and not blame refs all the time

Of course he made a hash. That has nothing to do with a referee. Why was it a red card?

And yes of course we need to improve. We dont put enough chamces away. Again that has nothing to do with bad refereeing. I don't want to blame referees but when they are so poor and make game changing decisions, then they deserve criticism.

You didn't answer my other question. Ashley Young did a very very similar challenge to Jagielka yesterday only he didn't get the ball. Do you think it was a red card?

Watched the SSN review of yesterdays game earlier. Dennis Wise and some scouse girl were the studio guests, and they focused on the game for a good 10/15 minutes. However all of it, and I do mean ALL of it, was from a United perspective. Mostly about Pogba and his penalty run up, but also focusing on Lukaku being dropped and Martial's form. Not one word on whether Martial dived, or whether Gana got the ball, or even on Pickford's absolutely world class save. Nothing on a second yellow for Smalling or on Everton taking the game to United at old Trafford. Absolutely disgraceful biased coverage.

On MOTD Mr. Shearer said it was never a penno and Martial’s reaction was “theatrical”.

And that was it.

How very different to his reaction when Oumar went down.....that bald Horse Puncher was hysterical and he started the movement to have Oumar up before the Kangaroo Court.

In fact, he may even have been one of the judges on said court.

To be honest no, seen them givin but no i dont :)

We need to take the referee out of the game by taking the game to the big 6 - VAR will take care of things long term but it will not fix our play and determination to dominate the bigger teams.

Agree.

Dermot Gallagher was on later for his weekly spot. He argued that he thought it was a pen, but both guests thought Gana got the ball so it wasn't a foul. But neither of them mentioned Martial's theatrical "fall". I mean, I don't even know if that rule still exists, I haven't heard of anybody receiving bans since Niasse, but I've seen loads of dives that have been missed by the ref.

At least Dermot agreed that Smalling should have received a second yellow for the Everton penalty.

Only other team to get a ban was West ham.

Everton and West ham. Big enough teams to make it look like they are serious about the problem but without upsetting the TV money teams.

Blaming refs makes us sound desperate. We played really well in patches but certain players gave the ball away at vital times when we had half the team pushing forward. Also missed a sitter which would have given plenty of time to get back into the game.
We are improving weekly but need to get away from spending days after a game still blaming officials .
I was gutted yesterday but today taking the positives . Trust the manager is leading us in right direction but hope he can see if players are not performing then there us depth there to replace them.
I'd normally agree with you and I'm a believer in that they tend to even themselves out over a season. But there are a lot of game changing decisions going against us at the moment, and in big games too. It's hard not to be affected by it

Err we had same amount of attempts and 46 percent possession. Missed a couple of sitters had a pen awarded against us that was not and their best player was arguably fat moss. What do you expect a 4-0 win at old trafford?
Was a great performance easily deserved at the least a point. On to the next game

Bizarre agenda you got going on here mate. They were identical challenges.
Yeah maybe but I just dont buy into trying to make we out we have dropped points because of the ref, Pickford jumping up and down on the line for the free kick at Wolves didnt help, yesterday we had some terrible marking, Bernard not crossing for an open goal...etc

Wouldn't argue with the Palace one and in fairness I haven't seen many who did. I thought the Bournemouth one was generous though and have seen lots of worse challenges inside the box go unpunished. Likewise I have seen plenty of tackles similar to Jags where fouls haven't even been given never mind a sending off. There is a serious lack of consistency and that is the problem.

Starting to get the same feeling after fantastic performances from Pickford that I got when watching Lukaku perform well.

I know we just gave Jordan a new contract but let's hope that's enough to keep him here.
