I get the message he was trying to get across but I think the Kean thing was poor management. Did Dunc shout any instructions his way in the time he was on the pitch? Anything to warn him that he wasn’t doing as asked?

Don’t bring the lad on at all if you don’t think you can trust him. He is 100% off in Jan now IMO. I know he can apparently be a handful behind the scenes but I think he’s been managed poorly since he got here. Shame, because it felt like a massive coup at the time.

This is exactly why Dunc should only be a stopgap.

You aren't going to be able to implement new tactics and such w/ the fixture list. All Dunc can do for the time being is to keep it simple and get guys to work hard. Only managed to catch bits and spurts but if the effort isn't there the message is sent.

The thing is with Kean. Duncan put him on to do something.If he wasn't fit enough Duncan would have put another striker on.He obviously rates over Tosun and Niasse. However he dosen't do what is asked of him or CBA,then he gets hooked.

Exactly. At least Niasse works hard and chasing/putting pressure on opposition.

Kean was supposed to come on as a young fresh pair of legs. He ended up looking like an old man. That, imo, is why he was subbed.
I don't think he is ready for the high intensity of the PL.
