If the alternative is Niasse the journeyman, taking a punt on Kean is the better option.

Was fairly quick thinking from Ferguson to be that diplomatic about Kean when the Sky interview happened quicker than normal.

The fact that I'm disappointed we didn't hold on for all three points speaks volumes. With Silva still at the helm I'd have just been wondering how many we'd lose by.

It was a tenacious performance and I'm happy with the attitude displayed. Which is why I don't have a problem with the Kean sub, for whatever reason he just didn't seem as committed as everyone else.

A great fighting performance again today. Really pleased that we still went forward towards the end,rather than hanging on for a draw. Several excellent performances but I thought Holgate was superb,looked calm under pressure,great positional sense considering he is new to the midfield. Plus he had more shots in one game than Scneiderlin has had all season.

If Silva had put Kean on and hauled him off humiliating him like that, we’d all be fuming. He really didn’t do anything to warrant that, he was playing ok if anything.

True that, I cpd half under stand if he was bringing on a top player or a solid midfield player, but the fact it was Niasse makes it more humiliating

What did Kean actually do wrong?

He looked shattered. Players who had played the whole game, at OT and had been playing out of there skin ran past him. I can expect players making mistakes....I cannot accept players being unfit or not trying. (I am not saying he wasn’t trying but I am guessing he was unfit)

This game answers a couple of questions.
If Ancellotti isn't taking the job, it has to go to Duncan.
I was watching on Bein sports and Keys was saying that Moyes was about to be unveiled as the manager until Ancelloti became available.
I don't see what Moyes would have to offer over Dunc if I'm honest.
