So something is on the back of my mind... accolades go to Douc Davies and Gomes..

however are they also not to blame for the 70 minutes of sitting back and not moving the ball forward with any pace or even at all at times.. guilty of sitting back, encouraging the pressure and giving Utd the freedom of the park?

Two bad goals to let in the first half. We always seem to screw up against Manchester United. Once again, they played their quickest players all over the park.

Thought Holgate was at fault for the first goal - was marking no one.

Second goal - Davies should have closed him down.

Third goal - I think the players were less at fault, it somehow landed between four Everton players and Olsen slipped. I don't blame Olsen at all but some people seem to just want to blame the goalie all the time.

De Gea has made some worldie saves in the past against us, so glad he was the culprit this time round for their first and third.

What a first touch from James for his goal. He's getting into a rhythm.

Rapt with the result. Everyone would have taken it before the game.

Was difficult to see on the telly why we couldn't get it to Richarlison or DCL on the break. Everytime it seemed to break up before we could get it to them. Part of it was if Richarlison is further up, then James has to drop back to help out and that means its more difficult to hit that pass.

Loved the way James drilled the ball into the ground. Definitely helped the ball into the net.

Neville is a weirdo, he literally thinks goalkeepers should save every single shot and actually bragged once that he used to have a go at Schmeichel nearly every time he conceded. Imagine having to play with him.
Cant stand the fella ....but you've just summed up why he was a winner.
We need more nasty snidey gobshites like him in our team.

Cant work out how I feel about that performance.
Pretty terrible for the first half and gave them far too much respect
Start of the 2nd half took the game to them and we looked great and they were a mess.
Scored 2 goals then stopped when we had been doing brilliantly for 7 minutes and they took control again.
Then a cavalry charge resulting in a wonderful finish.
Great spirit , great battling but why oh why weren't we more ambitious in possession throughout the game.
For large chunks of the match we just tried to play a safe pass across or backwards.
When we looked to pass forwards we looked a massive threat.
I dont get the Tommy D love in , I thought he was ( with exception of a few phases of the match) poor in possession.
Doucoure was great at doing what he does in getting around the pitch but again wasnt tremendous with the ball save his pass to James for the goal.
Gomes was better retaining and looking to pass progressively.
James was appalling except for the goal. He was dispossessed so easily and didnt use the ball well at all.
Allan back into midfield improves us a great deal but we still need a defensive sitter to free Doucoure and Allan to be more progressive.
DCL and Richarlison made some great runs that just went unnoticed.
So great fight back, brilliant point but so much to improve upon.
Give Carlo time and money to bring in better quality and we can have a top quality side.

Daily Mail ratings. I though that Fernandes done nothing apart from goal. All the talk about Man Utd

Great result today all things considered, but, just like the Leicester game we lacked confidence, bottled it somewhat, and invited max pressure, we are better than this, got to find a way to increase confidence
This. Like Dom said in the interview. They know they can do better.

What a strange game, we gave them far too much respect and let them dictate the tempo and the ball. When we decided to have a go we got at them with ease, in the 5 minute spell when we got the 2 goals why didn't we keep going? Its like we can put pressure on teams whenever we want and go up a gear or two but choose not too.

All the goals we conceded were poor especially the first one.

Overall i thought we were poor so very happy with a point.
This. So much this.

Happy with the result. Performance could've been better but United had just smashed a team for 9 so they would've been chock full of confidence.
It's nice just to be able to say we are up at the top end of the table competing with and getting results against teams up there.
We haven't really had that since the first season of Silva and last season of Moyes.
It also makes results like we got against Newcastle harder to accept!

Quite funny how offended Utd fans are by that result.
We didn't even fluke it with any dodgy decisions like they did all season.
They even got a penalty after the final whistle a couple of months ago.
By far the scummiest fans I've ever encountered here in Italy.
The pubs had to pretend to be shut.
