Blatant corruption. Refs favouring the elites as normal. Football is a truly horrible sport these days, If you aren't part of the clique then you're playing against the match officials too. VAR was not brought in for this. I wouldn't even mind if we knew that Man Utd would faced the same call had they scored that exact same goal here but you just know they wouldn't. The sport is an absolute embarrassment, the stench of corruption its just so nauseating.

It’s one of those where if the referee gives it, it isn’t going to be overturned.

If the ref doesn’t give it, VAR wouldn’t step in as it’s not an obvious error.

Not a “stone wall” penalty as they say, but a tight call. I would want that given for us. Clumsy from Godfrey.
