13 years later Pep still hasnt won a CL after spending around £2 billion pounds since 2009, guess he should have spent that £2 billion on a cloning program to produce a Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Pique, Puyol, Eto'o Valdes, Busquets and they could just follow him to every club he goes to so he can win a CL.

Might have been Poch rejecting the approach. He's never been one to walk out midseason, and he has a legit shot at the big pot where he is. Can't see that at United - too many drama llamas in that front line and not enough playing time to go around.
 

Valverde who was in charge of 2 of the biggest meltdown in European Cup history, steady Eddie but has a very pragmatic style.

If they had any sense they should go Rangnik as interim then make him the DoF/Technical Director next season beyond, the guy is an absolute genius at building foundations for a Football club, his work at Hoffenheim who went through the German leagues to be a long standing Bundesliga club and the RedBull organisations in Germany and Austria were stellar, he builds top scouting networks and he'd implement a coaching blueprint at youth level where you produce talent in waves.

But this is United, they just do not have people high up who see things in a modern progressive way, they are stuck in the dated United way especially with Fergie still pulling the strings who's stuck in the past.

PSG are never winning the CL,this season or beyond,they play in an absolute dross league, they missed the boat that covid season and blew it. Their league is a stroll every week by the time the knockouts come they are undercooked while the top teams especially in England are firing on all cylinders, the season they got to final, the restarted football season all the big teams were undercooked and it helped PSG, Qatar should have not invested in a french team, holy grail is the CL but doing it with a French club was naive as french teams are historically atrocious in Europe, no matter how much Petro dollars they throw at PSG,nothing will change when they have no competition in Ligue 1 testing them every week.

Can we stop this term 'Petro Dollars' being used, I am not offended by it but it is highly boring. I mean, do you not get bored writing it in nearly every post, regardless of what the topic of the thread is.

Also, why don't you apply for the Utd job. You could then operate a 'high line', another term that you are a little bit obsessed with, and more importantly, you can tell Maguire what you think of him face to face.

Why would anyone be offended by the word Petro Dollar, it's a word describe about country that sells oil, is their racist connotations regarding it, the word has been used since the 1950's when British Petroleum was the richest oil company in the World, was it racist when America first and biggest oil company Standard Oil in America started selling oil abroad in dollars, when the Dutch created Shell oil and started selling oil in dollars in the 1960's, what about the Norwegians who have the highest GDP per Capita in the world and the largest public investment fund all funded by oil production sold in dollars, what About Canada who have the largest quantity of shale oil in the World that they refine into oil and sell in dollars. the term Petro Dollar was used by the Wall St journal in NYC when the dollar was chosen as the currency for oil to be traded around the world and the term stuck.

Nothing offensive about it just like "oil money" isn't offensive

That is one hell of a response to me getting bored with your constant use of a term. I say the same for people who use 'Trent' all the time or people who bring up the term 'woke' at every opportunity. It just gets boring, not offensive just boring. Like a comedian who refuses to change their act despite it being seen a thousand times. Like a Kopite saying 6 times all the time, regardless of the topic of conversation. You get the gist.

Read my post again, you may find that the term 'the man doth protest too much' comes to mind ;)

Nowhere did I say the term 'racist' and I actually said specifically that I was not offended.
