It then effectively becomes the old European Cup, which means you could end up winning it by only playing 2 or 3 difficult ties. It's a bit of a paradox really. The old European Cup should have been named 'The European Champions Cup' for the simple fact you had to be champions of your own country to enter it. it's full name was actually 'The European Champion Clubs' Cup'
 
Make no mistake this is our biggest game of the season so far , we have today and Burnley at OT next week to give us a 5 per cent chance of putting pressure on city and closing gap to 8 points , i think today we will see the mentality of the manager and the players , Spurs are fresh and a good team so it will be tough but we must stand up and deliver

I can't see Coty slipping up bit I guess another win just cements that 2nd spot doesn't it.

Does Pogba ever step up? Fernandes seems the type who raises his game against anyone and everyone whilst I just don't see anything in Pogba to make him a "go to" kind of player.
 
Yep i agree city will still win it whatever happens and deservedly so but we need to put pressure on them even if it is only slight pressure , yes Pogba has talent but he needs to do it more and be fully committed , i think he still looking to move on in the summer , if so then let him go and get some money for him
 
We need to buy some players in the summer , the parasite Glazers did not back OGS last summer , they bought Van De Beek and OGS has hardly played him , in fact i dont even think OGS wanted him , until they are gone we will never challenge to our previous levels , they are the Poison at Old Trafford
 

United and City will be next season's preferred storyline. Chelsea as potential gate crashers.

Liverpool and Spurs to wallow about without making much noise. Hopefully no spotlight on Everton and we step up a level without anyone realising.

Absolute nonsense. United have won the title 5 times since the Glazer's took over and other trophies along the way as well.
It's not the owners. Its a top level world class manager you need and not a lightweight who's only achievement
in the Premier League to date is to get Cardiff relegated.
 
It is true that we won 5 titles since they came 2005 but that was mainly because we had a Great manager and a brilliant team , when fergie retired the whole thing collapsed we spent money on the wrong players that bad management from moyes , van gaal and jose , but these parasites have put none of their own money into the club , left in debt and took about milions out for themselves , they are pure filth and 99 per cent of United fans despise them
 
At last the team showed some character when the chips were down , the disallowed goal obviously wound the team up but 2nd half i thought we played very well , Great to see Mason come on and get a goal and an assist , i hope that he does that a lot more because he has the talent , 1st half was poor but 2nd half was really good
