Can’t wait until he fails and the fans and newspapers start to Amorim…Amorim confirmed as new United head coach.
Hopefully long enough to get a contract extension so he gets a decent pay out when they sack him like they did with the last guy.Impressive that it's not even been a week, wonder how long the new guy will last
Huge job for Amorim this, I'm surprised he took it.
I know...I see the United job very much like I see the Everton job.
It'd a graveyard of a job. You'll instantly expected to deliver and when it goes slightly off tangent the expectation crushes managers.
It'll take a big personality to fix the mess that is Man Utd (and Everton).
The problem Man Utd have Id that they need to tear the whole thing down again and start again, but their financial sway won't let them.
Had they done that 15 years ago, there's every chance they'd be a very good side nowadays. Instead they've spent something like £1.8bn to go backwards.

He will likely lift them by not being the last guy. However, will he be able to navigate his way past better squads? United are significantly far behind last season’s top 3 and haven’t been coached as well as several other sides for a long time. The best thing he can do is to not get drawn into United’s own mythology that assumes success will come by simply being United. If he can reset the terrible mentality and culture he may begin to steer the club towards better times. However, the landscape is really tough, even if you’re a good manager. Nobody else has managed to get it right since SAFI truly believe he will be able to lift Manure again, and it won't take too long.
To be honest he would be the perfect manager for us. I still have mixed feelings about him. On one hand, I love him to bits because the restored Sporting's dignity as a big club. But he left in the middle of our last dance. It was obvious that he wouldn't stay beyond this season. But Sporting had in hands a perfect storm: great manager, very good squad (which he built) and an outstanding striker (the best I've ever seen in Portugal). For that I hate the him.He will likely lift them by not being the last guy. However, will he be able to navigate his way past better squads?
