taking the long view: if this leads to an outright ban on future "partial ownership" players, maybe the league is better off. maybe the 50% holder of manny's rights didn't agree to waiving their decision-making rights. maybe we avoided a contract disaster 2 years down the road.

i'm sure moyes and company are too busy hunting down another deal to bother with whining to the FA right now. Sep 1 though we could see some fireworks.
