Although i agree, Moyes definately seems to hold grudges... After the fiasco of him going to Valencia, we still went on to sign him again on loan....

I'm not a Moyes fan, but i know hes not stupid. On a free transfer, he'll be interested. Just like he thought Drenthe on loan was low risk (it was).. Moyes knows worst come to worst we take him on a free, see how well he does and sell him for a few million if things dont go well.

I also think there will be better and bigger teams after him than ourselves, after the season he has had anyway.
 
wow all you guys are wrong, he never ****ted on anybody. The FA turned the deal down not him. Half of his rights were owned by benfica and the other half owned by some sort of private company. Everton agreed to a 6 mil deal with benfica for 50% f his rights with everton having to negotitate with the other company for the other half. Everton agreed to a 12mil deal for 100% of his rights but the premier league/fa or whatever turned the deal down.

This has nothing to do with Fernandes, I just don't like it as a statistic, it doesn't always give you a true picture of how crucial the player is to their side's attacking play.

I think the list shows that players that create assists a lot are some of the best and most expensive players in the Premier League, which disproves your theory that it's a meaningless stat.

I agree it doesn't tell you everything about a players play but any fan who tracks stats knows that the top creative players will normally get a lot of assists. That's why people pay big money for them, because it's hard to release a player with a pass\cross that results in him scoring a goal.
