No. I think he’s been benched so much because he’s not very good (right now I mean). He hasn’t shown a lot, either when he’s started or when he’s come on. He looks like a talented young lad who needs to develop quite a bit before he’s ready to be playing 90 minutes for us.

If you took away his reputation and name and he would be getting slaughtered on here, he’s done less than Vlasic and Lookman and they didn’t do much.
I do think all players need a pre-season with a new manager though, especially someone like Kean, until he has that I wouldn’t be writing him off.

Yeah agree with all of that.

His fault the entire midfield is injured for most of the season. Gbamin, unlucky it happens, nobody knows if he's a bad buy. Gomes got snapped in half, Delph is perma crock Davies inconsistent still. Pretty hard going for any team that but blame Marcel.
Gbamin and Gomes, you are right about. However, Delph has been a crock for years and Brands bought him anyway, that was a choice, and Davies was well known to Brands. You're correct in saying it's not all Brands' fault but you are not right to absolve him altogether. We were poor when Gomes was fit prior to the injury and nobody really knows if Gbamin would have been/will be a success. There was a high level of risk in the midfield we started the season with and Brands must be responsible for that.

Not if we start looking at some of our younger players giving them a chance, Look at Chelsea's young lad in midfield ran rings round ours.

He’s clearly a special talent though and there youth development is light years ahead of ours as well. We seemingly don’t have young players good enough for the first team. Gordon seems to be our next hope but no one has a clue how good he is yet.

There isn't a chance this feller has the interest in looking in places like Barnsley for players like Holgate or

First time I've seen the lad yesterday, and although he was only on the pitch for about 15 minutes and had little to do, what little he had to deal with I was impressed: didn't panic in possession; didn't think he needed to go gung-ho and 'prove' himself; is nice and aggressive and a good physique for that game.

Ancelotti really should be playing him after the derby and seeing what the lad has. It could save a lot of money that we need to be spending on that atrocious defence.

I'd play him in the Derby dave, it's not as if he could be any worse than Sigurdsson, that would seriously take some doing.

I think a lot of fans are starting to see this phoney for what he is.

It's a bad sign when he has to have others shoring his reputation up with a 30 minute documentary...which told us he was 'an architect' that he's 'nice' and he 'wears smart suits'.

The feller is well out of his depth here. Moshiri sidelining him on the appointemnt of Silva, Silva's sacking and then Ancelotti's appointment tells you all you need to know about that feller.

If he had any dignity (and after also overseeing a signing policy that's left us in 12th - 4 places worse off than when he took over) he'd resign.
