Reduce wage bill - hopefully means getting rid of some of the high earners not equalling what they are paid

Austerity Everton.

@MoutsGoat

He hired managers suited to the teams he had.
Managers he hired win the league for his club.
Koeman the only blot on his record
Yes but we are not in the Dutch league so you assume they have/need the same skills for PL, not sure about that but we shall see.

Or just a smart move....? Plenty on our wage bill who aren't living up-to their pay packets.
Well I have no problem with cutting a squad to a more viable number all competing for places. However, it sounds like the club are intent on cutting the total wage bill and rolling it back at a time when the direction at other clubs will continue in the opposite direction and they'll attract the better players rather than us.

What we're seeing is the post-Koeman cleaning up exercise. It must be done though whilst giving us a fighting chance on the pitch. Moshiri's choice of manager has ruined this club for a decade. I hope people dont forget that when they see us failing to compete this summer for the players we need.

Smart Everton mate until we get to the new stadium with better commercial deals in place.
Cut to the bone and probably fall down the table. That cant be smart.

No wonder we're not looking at top managers for this job. Imagine telling them they have to cut wages back?!

Have to disagree with you there mate, I dont think its about rolling us back. I've seen nothing which suggests this at all.

We have been poorly managed in the Koeman/Walsh time and we have players who quite frankly are over paid for their performances... So I think this is a clean up, and removal of under performing/over paid players but I don't see it as rolling us back at all.
