When a DoF's credibility is highlighted and questioned in such a public manner you know he's on borrowed time.
He's had a great run, tbf. Picked up a lot of money by looking Dutch and perfecting the art of studied aloofness.
Your avatar confuses the hell out of me!lolBrands is so great and good. I love him a lot!!
and we choose whether to keep him in 2 years as well. Really good deal from our point of view.He knows how to do a deal doesn’t he?
~£20m for one of the biggest stars in football.
...and as I said, he'll get credit for those if they are any good. Just buying young players doesn't cut it.
Dave, I sort of agree with you, there's no way JR comes if Carlo is not here. However. part of being a DOF is working in unison with the manager, and you do know it's not impossible for two people to agree that a player is worth signing. yes?
Because he's yet to develop a youngster worthy of the first team.
Exactly people make out like it’s a closed book and only one person gets to choose the players we buy.
Pretty sure there will be dozens involved from scouts, statisticians and then the owner, manager and dof will bring there own ideas and then come to an agreement.
Why? It’s fairly obvious. You get a manager like Ancelotti you accept his demands. And it’s reasonably clear in this instance because he’s also taking former players who been open about wanting to play for him again.Im surprised it’s such a front of the house, high profile, pointed peice especially for the BBC, they are usually very vanilla - “Ancelotti demanding his own men”.
