No one wants to hear their club is sell to buy but thus far I've been highly impressed by Marcel. He's made a huge step up from Holland but exudes a calm confident authority while articulating a clear and intelligent vision for a path forward out of the mess he inherited.
What a contrast to Walsh, you just know Marcel will be quietly ruthless where needed. Finally there seems to be a leader with a clear strategy in place and hopefully, given enough time, he'll live up to his early promise.

Brands would not have come to Everton just to oversee a firesale of players. He must gave been convinced by someone that the club has genuine ambition. He seems quite impressive in everything he has said and done so far and it will be interesting to see how this summer evolves in both sales and purchases.
Rooney is already nearly gone , we can add Robles,Besic,Sandro, Klaasen,Funes Mori, Williams, Schneiderlin ,Mirallas as almost certain to leave.
Bolasie,Keane and Jagielka may be allowed to leave as well if the circumstances are right.
Lookman leaving the club keeps on being mentioned as well and as Sam said.. no smoke without fire?

Big fan of brands already, if he can back up all he’s saying (I’ve got faith he will) then he’ll be a god in my eyes.
If we have to sacrifice next season to blood some youngsters, get rid of the dead wood and get playing decent togger then I’m all for it. Looking forward to the new season already.

Perhaps we should incentivise him by giving him a % of all fees over say £80 million received on an agreed list of players we want to offload.

I genuinely would not be suprised if we hadn't thought about it.

Walsh looked like what he is - a fat, balding PE teacher with no credibility. Brands gives the impression that he should be in the position he is. He has to trim the squad though - christ knows how we ended up with so many players
