I am confident we will sign a striker Dave
However I believe silva has a lot of faith in DCL (which I don't ) and may not want to hamper his progress too much.
We may buy a young striker which we hope to sell at a profit in 2-3 years time, which is why I find the Kean links believable
Calvert-Lewin is a bottom half of the PL player. Alaways will be. He's the new Danny Cadamarteri.

Not until Rafael fetched in a player to play with him he didnt. Newcastle fans thought he was utter rubbish till then. No idea if Rogers will have a similar player.
1 in 3 at Tenerife; 1 in 4 at Newcastle. He knows where the goal is.

We are entitled to expect that...

Stop it...

...a club with top 6 ambitions and with a "billionaire" owning it can get a striker through the door worthy of the name.

It goes deeper than that with us and you know it...you also have to be worthy of the number. That very fact dictates it's not going to be an easy thing to do and, if it's being taken seriously, will take take time.

The first summer window in Martinez's reign; and last summer turned out to be good.

Still, we all knew what needed sorting and Brands said they had themselves ready to hit the ground running this summer. And he hasn't.

Ok thanks!

Pardon my ignorance, but what did we do in that window?

Luakaku on loan was a masterclass tbh.

Just for clarity I’m not leading to a master blow for Dave... I disagree with about half of what he says but he doesn’t chat unfounded wham! just want to know what his standard is... wanting a high standard for us shouldn’t be criticised - but knowing the standard is a good thing for everyone (including Dave, who gets a fair amount of stick for his opinion without people knowing what his benchmark is)

Martinez had a slice of the budget we have now and did well in his first season. Still baffles how we forked out £28m+ for Luaku which at the time was huge for us, definitely secured against growing assets like Stones and Barkley.

He did sanction the signing of El Mohamady just as he was sacked, so thank god he went.

No but to be fair to Dave Lukaku in hindsight is up there for a signing. Sold for multiples of what we bought and people generally were glad to see the back of the little sl@g purely because of his mouthing off at every international break. We just didn’t replace him... or his ball control which went further than a Phil Neville chip down the line

Koeman tried to by spreading his goals out with the likes of Klassen and Siggy. Set us back by years.
