Hes got his prices Dave, unless you want a return to the dizzy drunken sailor spending days?
If it's sell to buy again...that's a big problem, given this feller can only sell obvious saleable assets.

Imagine having to rely on Brands getting cash in before spending. That's just scary.

Of course its sell to buy, we have a first team squad of 38 players and that doesnt even name 10 or so of the players we have just taken to Kenya.

As I say Dave, the drunken sailor days are over, now its about prudent squad building.

If it's sell to buy, do we have the right DoF?

2.5 windows - and three sales for a total of £30M.

We do.

But the Dutchman, who replaced Steve Walsh this summer, does not believe spending big will necessarily bring glory at a club that has had five different managers in five years.

He said: “When I spoke with him (Moshiri) before I came in, I told him that if you want success next year don’t look for me because I cannot bring that."

“You saw in the past in the Premier League that if you only spend money, that is not the guarantee for success.

“You see the clubs with the long-term strategy. They are in a stable situation. Look at Tottenham, look at Manchester City.

“I think that it is important for Everton to get to a stable situation. With all the changes, it is always difficult for everyone.”

We would make a profit on every signing hes made so far.

So yes, we do have the right DoF, there is no overnight fix.

His words are nonsense on Spurs and City.

And so what he could make a profit on last seasons signings (not that he could - Mina would fetch about 15m now from the 27m spent on him last summer). He;s here to clear up a mess as well as spend cash.

Let's see what the sales figures are like come August 8th. I cant see a bumper window if its down to that though.

Even living in a world in which an International CB sells for 15m, LOL, we would still make a profit on the players hes bought so far, Digne must be worth 70m alone.

Well THAT ^^^ is a step away from this...

"We would make a profit on every signing hes made so far."

Im not gonna sit here and argue regarding Mina, neither of us would win, so far hes been a failure, that I will agree, but I still reckon we could sell him for a profit.

With sell to buy you dont need to make a profit on every player, you just need a Lukaku, a Stones.

Ha Ha Ha. The amount of qualifications. I'm embarrassed for you.
It's called controlling for variables mate.

I cant see the issue with the comparison, @davek Whats the problem with it?

Why is it scary dave? I think its sensible...
