Both highly rated, Kean was part of the Italian squad at the U21 Euros and has scored twice in 3 games at senior level. Scored 8 in 17 games for Juve last season. Leao scored 8 in 24 for a Lille side that finished second in Ligue 1 last year and has 5 caps for Portugal U21

We aren't signing Welcrap Frank ffs, he's got deadline day panic buy for Bournemouth, Brighton hell even re signing at Arsenal

They're young and promising. A big gamble.

Still, I'll take anyone over DCL and Tosun.

I'd like to hear at this stage (after being grilled over strikers we should get) who others think Brands should be bringing through the door........

Its a tough one thats for sure, but I think you have to look at who made us tick up top in the past. Obviously Lukaku was a beast but still flawed, and its always a bit of a gamble bringing in a player not used to the League. Whoever it is if they do well they’ll most likely be off within a few seasons, so we’re always going to be more likely to get an unproven youngster rather than a journeyman.

How can you seriously evaluate our D of F when you can't even bother to know a single player outside the PL? You've never heard of these guys before.

He;s had 12 months to sort one of those out. I EXPECT it to be done within the next fortnight or so.

So a decent striker is anyone at gabbiadini level or above?

Not by me he wouldn't. And I;ve said so before.

A one in three games GS coming into a team with one in four games GS is an upgrade.


So, the bar is set at a reasonable level. I expect that standard or better in the next three weeks.

He’s not a 1 in 3 goalscorer Dave. Last season was his best season ever, aside from that he’s posted Tosun numbers every season throughout his career. He isn’t even a centre forward anyway so wouldn’t solve our problem. He’d be replacing Sigurdsson, another 1 in 3 scorer.
