Massive brand love-in on here. Be good to see some recruitment to back up this reputation. Months of planning and not much to show other than out goings in loans, contracts finishing, and couple of sales.

Likely do a lot near the close just like last year of which we knew little of. Heaven's knows what is going on the back room.

Simply doesn't work like that. You think if Club 'X' bid £3m for Yannick Bolasie they are still gonna put him on 80k a week? Absolute fantasy land talk that.
Why would it come to £80m pw wages? No player wants to be out of the frame for long. PL clubs (and many Championship players) now could easily accomodate a player willing to play for £50k pw, much of it [aid for by the hit landed on the selling club on fee.

You're just creating obstacles where there are none.

Its something a lot of people dont get, the early season patchy form and running on an empty tank after Xmas period, those lulls in form have a material impact and can be put down to late recruitment, lack of preseason and bedding in process of understanding your team mates game and tactics all a thousand cuts to poor results.

Yet somehow its SIlva, lads will be lambasting after not winning in three on the trot and getting knocked out of the cup.

Hes right to rear up if hes going to be the lightening rod.

Silva is bang on the money calling it what it is, hes a football man and needs to keep the administrators congruent to football priorities.

Work it out.

"Our Marcel" indeed.
People are short of heroes. I think that's what we're seeing with The Brands Supremacy.

....yet to come: The Brands Ultimatum....when Silva gets to carry the can for his slothfulness.

I’m not at all. You have just said if we sell for a low fee then the buying clubs saving on fee can be used to pay the wage. Nobody is gonna buy crap like bolasie or Sandro and keep them on anywhere near what their current wage is, even if bought for pittance.

Business getting done early in a transfer window is rare; that's just economics 101. (There's a reason Walsh and Koeman managed to wrap up loads of deals unchallenged early on in the window: pay way over the odds for players nobody else wants!)

From the outside looking in, it's clear there is a plan and a strategy. That's all we can ask for.

Luca Digne is magic, I just think Brands is the man for us, IMO he proved that last summer and he will prove it this summer, I can wait 3 weeks Dave, can you?

But WE have players on more than 80K pw like Sandro and Schneiderlin. Even if we were prepared to let him go for nothing never mind a fee, why would they give up their wage here to go and play somewhere else for probably less than half what they get now.
We could give them away but they aren't going to leave for a lesser wage, and lets be honest who is likely to pay them more.
Personally I think they will sit it out here till the end of their contracts, so if we loan them out at least we don't have to pay all of their wages. I think Brands is making the best of a bad job.
