I’m not at all. You have just said if we sell for a low fee then the buying clubs saving on fee can be used to pay the wage. Nobody is gonna buy crap like bolasie or Sandro and keep them on anywhere near what their current wage is, even if bought for pittance.
They're only crap if they're in a squad that wish to be part of an elite.

These players can be shifted. If a player with a horendous injury record on £50K pw can be sifted out for £8m, they can be found a club too.

The excuses made for this feller are unreal.

Im not short of heroes.

Luca Digne is magic, I just think Brands is the man for us, IMO he proved that last summer and he will prove it this summer, I can wait 3 weeks Dave, can you?

There's no getting past the fact we have to wait and see what happens. People have a right to be concerned at this stage though. Already we are going to be struggling to find a team that's gelled together for the opening 10 games. Thats lost points all over the shop already.

But WE have players on more than 80K pw like Sandro and Schneiderlin. Even if we were prepared to let him go for nothing never mind a fee, why would they give up their wage here to go and play somewhere else for probably less than half what they get now.
We could give them away but they aren't going to leave for a lesser wage, and lets be honest who is likely to pay them more.
Personally I think they will sit it out here till the end of their contracts, so if we loan them out at least we don't have to pay all of their wages. I think Brands is making the best of a bad job.
They'll sit it out unless Brands shows some initiative and ends their time here. It's his joib to do this shifting. I expect him to get that lot clubs by August 8th.

We are building a squad for May 2020, May 2021, not July 2019, no trophies are given out in August.

Think bigger instead of smaller.

That’s if he’s even going, we haven’t seen anything to say this is more than paper talk.

I’m not really willing to beat someone with a stick for Steve Walsh/Ronald Koeman/Big Sam/Farhad Moshiris ineptness in the transfer market. Brands has been stuck with an ageing squad full of crap (and they are crap) on massive wages, it was always likely a majority of them would run their contracts down or have Everton subsidise their new contracts at other clubs, either way it’s been a disaster for the club for this transfer window and possibly the next one or two. I don’t really see what he’s supposed to do. I doubt there is any interest in players like Niasse and Sandro apart from teams who are looking to fill their squad out or, like we used to be, completely skint and hoping they can somehow coax some form out of them.

It's always 'Jam tomorrow' isn't it?

Sorry, the domestic trophies are their to be won. There's not one law for Brands-Silva and another law for their predecessors.

It takes 2-3 years for massive overhauls and to be winning those trophies, like the overhauls Koeman/Allardyce era brought on.

Agreed, the constant narrative by the so called "protectors of the club" is a road to no accountability and zero silverware for the next generation of fans.

Was expecting more by this stage (both ins and outs) but will wait till the window closes to make any conclusions but looks like it will be a repeat of last summer, last day frenzy

Im not suggesting jam tomorrow, im suggesting jam today, hence me saying May 2020, which is the date that this season ends.

My point is that trophies arent won and lost in July, despite what you think.
