i dont agree with the villification of dcl but we shouldnt have him and a 19yo as our centre forward options.....and I am still having to watch Schneiderlin. agghhhhhh

He brought in a 19 year old to lead this attack with no experienced striker to play off.

Good players bought but nothing spectacular. If you want to worry the top 6 you need to bring in real quality. Unearth some gems like Leicester did with Kante and Liverpool did with Mane. It´s difficult but that´s what is required.

We're treading water with this lot.

They'll rouse to beat a bigger team, no question. But these players he's brought in have no fight in games like this.

He's allowed Marco Silva a valid excuse in not bringing in another centre half or proven/experienced striker IMO.

Perhaps Moise Kean is considered too raw for how Silva wants to setup?

Go back and read the threads pre season.

99% banging on about him being a genuis.

About 2 of us mentioned that bringing in a 19yo as a centre half wasnt likely to impact much.
Selling your best centre mid and not replacing him properly was a big backward step and not improving the centre half position downright negligent.

The `expected' improvement on here has clearly not been borne out and we are soon to play some proper teams.

He's let us down this summer, no question.

Poor acquisitions and a gaping hole where a solid CB should be.

We'll be ok, but we wont trouble the top 5. What's assembled here is painfully lacking in coherent team building.

We have to hope we get good draws in the LC and FA cup.

I got it wrong by not worrying enough about defensive signings. He’s got that massively wrong. He needs to take that and not Marco.

How long we sticking with Sigurdsson for?

Think with the money spent the fact that we still have the likes of Schneiderlin and Walcott knocking about in the first team is poor.

Both Gomes and Gbamin were injured to be fair.

Not many sides do well without their first choice CM pairing.

Problem we have is the Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson midfield combo.
