I mean, who didn't see this coming....Oh the 'great' Brands didn't. We have been one injury to our only real 1st team striker from disaster and its now happened. Brands is incompetent, He did it last year with centre half and touched lucky with Holgate finally coming good.
He is also left us desperately short at rb, again Holgate came to his rescue. If Brands gets a new contract it will be a shambles

Thats a little bit easy doesnt it. He gets millions and spent 200 million. The team looks even worse now. 12th last season and not sure it will get much better this season. Level of play is awful, some lucky results mean nothing!

Strikers, well there is that master goal scorer Tosun, Richarlison and Kean (we know left us) but if there none available what can one do. As for Zaha we all felt that CP were robbers with the fee asked for. Would hardly say Brands was incompetent based on this.
 

I think the jury is still out no? I felt like he was doing a good job, you cant believe that every signing would be a Messi or Ronaldo. We have little to no pull for big players so he is trying to find those diamonds in the rough. He has obviously paid too much for some players but I think the majority of his work has been done well. We now seem to sign players quicker and in general for less money and teams dont look at us like mugs anymore.

I feel there is a strategy and he is working towards it but Im wondering if the arrival of Don Carlo will mess things up for Brands. I would imagine Hamez was all Carlo, Im sure what he says goes. Its so important we dont end up with three people buying players to fit their own agenda. If they can work together to create the best team at the right price we will all be happy.

I used my words careful. Richarlison is no striker, he is a forward who in emergency can play as one. Tosun is useless, as proven tonight that he can't even get into the 1st 11 when there is no strikers.
As for Zaha, he isnt the only forward we could go for so Brands is still incompetent
