I can’t see who was available though.
Use it if the right players are available, but who?
 
If we get Europa we will need major reinforcements, is brands the man to sort it?

He seems to be good at signing youngsters, but first teamers, not so much

Mate that is what he has a scouting department for, it's not our job to find players and I certainly don't profess to know every player in world football, a scouting department on the other hand should.

My point is that no one managed to get them, because they weren’t available for transfer.
Scout all you like, but if they’re not available. they’re not available.
It gets harder, the better the player as they have choices.
As far as I could see, I didn’t think any of the players we were linked with in January would have made much difference.

Ah well, we have differing opinions, nothing wrong with that.

This is probably his worst work since being here. Newcastle (x2), Burnley, Leeds, Fulham and Southampton; our midfield were bossed in all of them defeats; by very average teams. Burnley only played 2 in there and they outfought our weak midfield.

We also don't have a back up for DCL, which means he's played every minute when he is fit.

Yet people are happy to argue as to why none of it is Brands fault, madness.

The only positive is that Kean should fetch us a windfall this summer and likely Bernard and Kenny may also finally be moved on with 12 months each on their contracts.

Add in Bolasie/Besic/Walcott fully off the books and a potential USM naming rights deal the money should be there to give Carlo a proper go at next season.

The worry is if this fella splurges it on crap again.

If we can sneak a top 7 finish then with Europe we need a bigger squad with more quality - King on a free to cover Bernard going on that LW would make sense but then go sign someone like Danny Ings and have real competition for DCL.

Get someone like Rabiot who offers more than Gomes, a proper RB & RW with pace to burn.
