I don't think he's done an amazing job, but he's not done a bad one.
In my opinion he inherited an absolute bombsite and has considerably improved the situation. He could have improved us even more and to be fair, has been given money to do it, but I'm personally more than happy for him to continue.
I think he's been relatively unlucky with a few players, such as Gbamin and Delph, who were players that would have considerably eased our problems in midfield had they not broken down. Kean was a gamble worth taking, but cost us enormously.
I've been very sceptical on our squad quality even in the good times this season, but I think we're closer to being a very good team/squad than people realise. I think we're also closer to having a healthier wage bill and deadwood situation than people realise. One good summer window and I think we could be in a very, very good place.
Now is not the time to get rid for me, but we are definitely approaching the point where he either has to deliver something very significant in the short term or go.
I think the foundations are all there though. I know others don't feel the same way, but I am not overly worried at this point.
