At least he took the abuse. Don't know what he says back to him. Looks like an arrogant response at the end. Tosser.
Really would like to know what he said back. Something about on the pitch….

No it's not. I don't like a bloke being screamed at to get out in his face, same with Benitez btw. It doesn't reflect well but the fan has a right to be very angry even if it'd be better for them to have a quick reasoned conversation and then you might get a response from Brands. Not nice to see really. Why do things always have to get like this before anything happens. Why can't the club just get a plan together
Thoroughly depressing night

Oh he does.
He wanted to sign Dumfries. We had a deal agreed with the player, sort of with PSV, didn't have the cash though but think the plan was to go with a loan to buy with obligation.
Benitez didn't want the player when he came in. Inter then came in for Dumfries and we didn't have the cash to compete.
He took Patterson to benitez, benitez didn't want to go too high - I agree on that tbf btw. Brands' next choice was AMN, who isn't even a RB.
Now, the issue is Brands clearly in that circumstance hasn't come up with acceptable, cohesive targets. I like Dumfries, but him and Patterson are nothing alike and AMN is nothing alike either of them - there's no profile, no plan or structure. Just random picks.
But he did want a RB this summer. Benitez ran the rule and said no to the choices he was presented with.

That being said, the way he scoffed and turned away reeks of arrogance.

Sounds like it’s a Brands v Benitez power struggle of sorts. If he was saying that it sounds like he was trying to coax out the guy to say the manager. I’d bin Brands straight away.Brands: "Is it only the players?"
Guy: "Ya what?"
Brands: "Is it only the players?"
Guy: "It's the board right through, it's everyone *something*, it's crap."
As soon as the guy said "it's the board right through" Brands already started to walk away.

I agree with this. Brands would have been far better turning up his skinny jeans and just walking down the exit. You can't really have a rational discussion with somebody effectively attempting an Omicron superspreader event, such was the bile and invective being propelled from that chap's gullet. The fact he confronted the bilious fan suggested a sense of lèse-majesté on the part of Brands. The guy is not used to being held accountable, and especially not by projectile spewing oiks.No it's not. I don't like a bloke being screamed at to get out in his face, same with Benitez btw. That is part and parcel of where we are now. No identity , no way of playing and no ideology.Oh he does.
