This and in the absence of any other info, it is hard not to conclude he is a scapegoat.

We do not know precisely, the level of interference he was subject to but it seems he was unable to carry out the role because of it.

I've got no hatred for Benitez - he's helped see off Doctor Death and Brands in less than 6 months at the club.

If he helps remove Kenwright he deserves a statue outside Goodison.
