So, down 5 points. but then we got a point against Conte's spurs and at OT, so as far as I'm concerned we weathered a really tough run of fixtures whilst playing unfit players in key positions, and are only 3 points down. Let's see if we've still got the worst run a month from now. If we are back on an even keel again, and heading for another finish like last year, will you agree that we were right to keep him?

Maybe so, but that Dutch report, heavily implying Brands as a direct source, say he was sidelined this summer completely and Moshiri/Benitez did the work.

It's possible of course it's a lie/Brands is a liar. But it fits with what we know about Brands in the role; that he basically did nothing.

Where do we expect Moshiri to go. He's sacked manager after manager apart from Ancelotti and he's backed Brand's wasting millions upon millions and now after a few injuries were screwed. It's not just the money wasted on crap players but the fact that he never got rid of players or strengthened in certain positions where we desperately needed it.

I just don't understand that if that was the case why he was a) offered and b) accepted the additional board roles:

I remember seeing the banner pop up on Sky Sports News announcing that, looking at it in disbelief and thinking "Brands doesn't know what he's doing."

It was a penny dropped moment for me. I was on the fence about him, thought he needed time, but there was simply no excusing that transfer whatsoever. I don't care if it was Moshiri who did it, if that were me and I was in Marcel Brands' position, I'd have resigned if that was the case.
