Marcelo Bielsa

Bielsa would be a good choice if we go down and he gets a say on transfers and a full pre season to get them up to speed.

Not sure he's the right man for now with our current squad but he may not be available after the end of this season if we dont get him now.

Perhaps Dyche ticks both boxes in that he may keep us up and he also has experience of the Championship

Dear lord Everton how has it come to this?!?!
Marcelo Bielsa and our squad...

I would honestly rather either of those two choose than Moshiri.
Well, I think as long as any of them are choosing we're goosed. We need new ownership and a new board. As mad as Moshiri is, at least he wouldn't plump for the "sentimental" choice. He might go mad and bring in Bielsa, but that's still a billion times more credible than "Give it Duncan" or "Give it Wayne". Regardless, I think we're cooked this time around. Whoever comes in is coming in two months too late.

This is the thing.

I hear what people are saying about the risk, about it being a long term appointment when we have short term needs, about the squad being unsuited to his style of play.

But what are the better options? Do we even have a better chance of staying up with Dyche or Ferguson? Personally I don't think so.
I get why people want Dyche.
There's probably a bit of hindsight when it comes to Allardyce and he seems similar.
English, defensive, plain talking, did well with a smaller club.
But look at what happened last season.
At one point he had 4 wins in 30.
He had a top keeper and two very good center backs.
He had McNeil on the wing.
His strikers were about as capable as Maupay and DCL.
Even if he tightens up our defense, we'd need vintage roy keane in the middle to play 442.

Moyes wont be sacked by west ham in time to take the job.

Rooney did really well at Derby but what was left of their squad was still actually quite good when he came in.
He hasn't done anything of note in MLS. Both Phil Neville and Adrian Heath are doing better.

Ferguson has had plenty of time to go and try his hand at management but for some reason hasn't.
Might well do a similar job to Unsworth.

Tuchel/poch/Sarri/Yer man from River/even AVB are not coming.

Tedesco has no PL experience which our board seem to insist on

Frank probably wouldn't leave Brentford

So, eh... Bielsa I suppose.

IMO Iwobi has realistically had about 2 decent months in over 4 years as an Everton player.

It was a flash in the pan, he’s now back to his panicky, erratic self.

I’ll agree he possibly plays a slightly higher tempo than the majority of his teammates, Gray too.
You're bang on about him having 2 decent months in 4 years to be fair. But imo he hasn't dropped back down to the level he was previously playing at before he found form.

In a decent team, playing in his favoured position I think he could be a good player for us. Imagine trying to play attacking midfield and create chances for our forward line. Nobody makes runs, nobody wants the ball, everybody is constantly static. He's got a bit of an impossible job at the moment in my opinion.

Also has to be said that his 2 decent months is 2 more than most of our players have had in their Everton careers.

Imagine if we get this guy, and we win a controversial game in the upcoming derby. Touchline gold v Klopp right there.

His teams leak goals and rely on man marking, which means pace and plenty of energy.

They also fall like flies because of the demands of his system.

He's an incredible manager in many ways. I do not think he is at all suited to Everton's current plight.
Who is?

Wooooo! Bielsa for the win!
