I'm not disputing that there's genuine interest. But does Biesla really believe he can get a tune following what he said about our squad and his style of football?

Tarkowsky and Coady did well together in a back four.
The first signs of it crumbling were the full backs. Then Gana went to crap, then coady.
Gana is one of those players Bielsa might be able to knock a tune out of. He was immense against city but terrible the surrounding games.

Nah stuff like xGA had us down for conceding loads more than we were, but every time somebody pointed that out and said it couldn't last people laughed and said lol xGA doesn't mean anything. Then it stopped lasting and people started going wow what the hell happened to the defence nobody could possibly have foreseen that.

Everton is a great opportunity for an aspirational manager hungry for success, with clear ideas on how he can organise and improve this team. They haven’t got ‘rock bottom’ reputation, they want to build a reputation. I have no idea who I’m describing but Thelwell is paid lots of money to identify the right man.

Instead we are blinkered & looking at failed Managers who were sacked from the PL merry-go-round. Bielsa‘s Leeds were very poor at Goodison last season when they were in the mire, I’m amazed how he’s even in the running.

Fact hes flew in for talks suggests things are a bit further down the line.

Ive accepted we're down, so seeing Bielsa punish this group of players will be a fascinating 2023 social experiment.

I'd also be confident of being promoted after that too with him at the helm.

Probably. I remember one time when a mob of about 50 came to Maine road. A few of them tried setting the petrol station on fire on Wilmslow road. They then marched up towards the Kippax looking for trouble. Our local black lads on their Choppers and Grifters tipped our mob off. City ganged up next to a gable end and waited. When Leeds walked around the corner it was mayhem and they scarpered all over the place. That used to happen a lot back in the day.

Yes, creepy place round there at night especially. I remember going to an FA Cup replay mid-week and it was very hair-raising.

Also, the only time I've ever felt in trouble in a football stadium was in that Kippax stand. The crush was almost unbearable.

We have players in the squad older than him. Can't see us hiring Ancelotti Jr. But it is an interesting link as I believe Carlo Ancelotti will be back at Everton one day assuming we don't end up in the lower leagues.
